Raiders players who won’t be back next season: Davante Adams

If you think Derek Carr was happy to have Davante Adams in Las Vegas, just wait until Adams sees Carr officially leave. The veteran wideout will be just as peeved to see his quarterback go, as Carr was happy when he arrived.

The former college teammates were thrilled to join forces as professionals, but it certainly looks like it will only last one season. The Raiders gave up a good amount to land Adams, but after he broke the single-season franchise receiving record, they will likely be able to get a haul back for him if they were to end up trading the All-Pro.

The 30-year-old has three straight 1,300-plus yard seasons and is in the thick of his prime. He’s been relatively healthy throughout his career, so he’ll have plenty of years left playing at a high level.

The Raiders will be inadvertently upsetting Adams with the Carr situation, and they have to know he will not be happy when his quarterback leaves. If Adams asks for a trade, do not be surprised if the Raiders oblige.
