No. 2 team that should trade with the Bears for Bryce Young: Houston Texans

Lovie Smith, Davis Mills, and Jordan Akins deserve big paychecks from the Bears for allowing them to clinch the No.1 overall pick in April. By virtue of Lovie giving his former team a blessing, Chicago is in a prime position to remake their franchise. At the same time, Houston is in need of a signal caller.

Mills did his job and has looked good at times, but the Texans need a true franchise quarterback and by picking 2nd, it is entirely possible that they could still land their guy without having to trade up. But what if someone jumps the Colts to ensure that Houston doesn’t get their guy? That changes things dramatically.

Houston may want to move back up to No.1. That’s going to cost a pretty penny. Granted, it may end up just requiring Houston to give up both their first-rounders this year and maybe one player, but that’s what it takes in the league to move up in the first round, especially when the pick that is trying to be acquired has such pristine value.
