Former Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams posted a photo of Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb, thanking them for having a positive influence on his career.

It’s no secret that Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb are still in close contact with Davante Adams. Adams, for one, is Rodgers favorite career target, while Cobb is the quarterback’s best friend. It makes sense that they would talk about big issues, like the looming question in Rodgers future.

Will the Packers quarterback come back for another season, or is he calling it quits?

Rodgers will spend the next few days discussing that and more with Green Bay’s front office, which includes general manager Brian Gutekunst. After that, No. 12 will seemingly have his answer, and will likely discuss it on the Pat McAfee show next Tuesday to some extent.

Did Adams just preview Rodgers plan?

Davante Adams instagram story: Aaron Rodgers decision is not made

Until we hear from Aaron Rodgers himself, it’s impossible to know what he’s thinking. In the Packers postgame press conference, Rodgers made it clear that he did not want to make an emotional decision, but rather sit down with Gutekunst and Matt LaFleur after the season and see where things stand.

Adams Instagram story appears to be an appreciation post, rather than one foreshadowing the retirement of the two Pro Bowler. Adams is not paying tribute to his friends football careers. He’s merely paying tribute to his friends, in general. That is allowed, by all accounts.

Rodgers has several options in front of him. He can either stay with Green Bay another year, as his contract is fully guaranteed. He can retire and ride off into the sunset. Or, Rodgers could negotiate a buyout or trade and finish his career with a new challenge.

The latter seems the least likely, as No. 12 has previously stated he wants to retire a Packer. We’ll just have to wait and find out.
