NFL Playoffs: 5 bold predictions for Vikings vs. Giants
By Ryan Heckman
4. The Vikings force three Daniel Jones turnovers
One of the most positive storylines in the NFC, this year, has been the transcendent New York Giants offense. Nobody expected Brian Daboll to have these guys in the postseason in his first year as head coach, but here they are. What Daboll did with Josh Allen in Buffalo is starting to look at least a little familiar, especially when it comes to turning the football over.
The biggest difference between Daniel Jones’ first three seasons and this one? Turnovers.
This year, Jones limited himself to just five interceptions and four lost fumbles all season. When considering how he began his career, that number is remarkable. In his rookie season, Jones fumbled the ball 19 times (three were recovered) per Pro Football Reference.
To see Jones blossom like this is a stunning sight for Giants fans. For once, he is not the reason the team is losing, but instead is keeping the Giants alive in games.
That all changes on the road in a playoff game against Minnesota, though. The Vikings will force two interceptions and a lost fumble from Jones in this one. Jones might throw for a couple of scores, but the Vikings defense will get the last laugh, you can be assured of that.
