5. Packers 33, Seahawks 27 (OT) (NFC: 2003)

This back-and-forth affair at Lambeau Field had quite the ending. However, the beginning and the middle were awfully good as well. Mike Holmgren and the Seattle Seahawks looked to upend Brett Favre and head coach Mike Sherman.

Down 13-6 at intermission, the Seahawks seized the moment in the third quarter and took a 20-13 lead thanks to a pair of one-yard touchdown runs by Shaun Alexander. Down by seven points in the final quarter, Green Bay responded with two one-yard TD runs by Ahman Green. Trailing by seven once again, quarterback Matt Hasselbeck guided his team 67 yards in seven plays and Alexander capped the drive with his third one-yard TD run of the game with only 51 seconds to play. It was time for some extra football at Lambeau Field.

“We want the ball, and we’re going to score,” yelled Hasselbeck as Seattle won the overtime coin toss. However, Packers’ cornerback Al Harris apparently wanted the ball a lot more. He picked off the Seahawks’ signal-caller on the right side of the field and returned the prize 52 yards for the game-winning touchdown just 4:25 into the extra session. Hasselbeck’s miscue was the only turnover of the contest.
