MLB power rankings: The AL and NL Championships Series round

Predicting the remaining teams in the Championship Series

4. New York Yankees

3. San Diego Padres

2. New York Mets

1. Houston Astros

Yes, baseball fans, get ready for another Yankees-Astros matchup in the ALCS, but expect this one to be much more competitive than last year’s Houston sweep. New York’s addition of Carlos Rodón will indeed prove valuable, but will it be enough to get past the rival Astros? After signing Jose Abreu this offseason to man first base, Houston will prove to be even more formidable than they were this season, setting up manager Dusty Baker for another shot at a World Series ring.

There will also be a rematch on the National League side, but it will be from the 2022 Wild Card round as the Padres and Mets will square off with a berth in the Fall Classic on the line. San Diego ousting the Mets in the Wild Card helped set the stage for owner Steve Cohen’s spending spree this offseason that will help New York finally earn a division title and avoid the Wild Card round.

So which teams earn a trip to the World Series? Could it be an all New York Fall Classic?
