MLB rumors: Jesus Aguilar agrees to Oakland A’s contract

Free-agent first baseman/designated hitter Jesus Aguilar and the Oakland A’s are in agreement on a one-year, $3 million contract, pending physical, according to sources familiar with the deal.

Aguilar, 32, was an All-Star with the Brewers in 2018, but has struggled since. He hit .235/.281/.379 with 16 home runs and 51 RBI last season and if the A’s can get him hitting on a more consistent level, is a prime candidate to be moved at the 2023 trade deadline.
