Top 10 college football players returning to school over entering draft

No. 3: Jordan Travis, Floria State QB

Florida State was the surprise of the ACC in 2022 with quarterback Jordan Travis leading a resurgent 10-win campaign after two straight losing seasons under Mike Norvell.

After a three-game losing streak in October, Travis turned on the jets and led the Seminoles to six-straight wins to end the season. He threw 13 touchdown passes in that stretch with just two interceptions while rushing for five scores. They were one of the hottest teams in college football by the end of the year.

Travis might have been a swift riser on NFL Draft boards if he had decided to go for the pros. He has the right dual-threat skillset to turn heads. He’ll instead be featured on just about every Heisman Trophy favorites list going into the 2023 season.

The question for Florida State is how far Travis can carry them. The ACC title was within reach in 2022. It should be again, along with much more, with Travis and a slew of other hugely important Seminoles choosing to return for a run at glory.

There’s a reason FSU has appeared in the Top 5 of many a Too-Early Top 25 so far this year. They’re a potential contender with Travis behind center.
