One signing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to replace Tom Brady: Jimmy Garoppolo

Once upon a time, it looked like the New England Patriots were going to allow Jimmy Garoppolo to take the place of Brady. Little did they know, the GOAT had plenty of football left in him and New England ultimately dealt him to the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, the 49ers’ quarterback situation is muddy at best. Trey Lance was going to be the future, but he suffered a season-ending injury this past season, allowing Garoppolo to swoop in and take the reins. After Garoppolo got hurt, it was Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy, who led the team to the NFC Championship.

Shockingly enough, Purdy is now also hurt and will be out for several months with a UCL injury. So, what do the 49ers do? More than likely, it will be Lance under center to start the year, assuming he recovers in a timely manner.

That leaves Garoppolo to free agency, where he could have a few suitors. One of them includes the New York Jets, where Garoppolo would reunite with Robert Saleh from their time together in San Francisco.

Another great option, for Garoppolo, is Tampa Bay. The weapons he’d have at his disposal are well-rounded, and when healthy, the offensive line is an above-average unit.
