2. Amen Thompson

Amen Thompson has a similar package to his twin brother and similar question marks. He’s a 6-foot-7 wing with insane leaping ability and explosive quick-twitch athleticism. He’s a destructive force in transition, an incredibly disruptive defender and capable of making all sorts of plays with the ball in his hands. He’s also, currently, a shaky jump shooter and playing in the Overtime Elite league — a new enough entity that we don’t really know how the level of competition measures out and how production against that level will translate at the next level.

While Ausar is slightly ahead as a defender, Amen is slightly more advanced as a ball-handler and creator. Ausar projects as a secondary creator but Amen could work as a full-time point guard and/or primary creator in the NBA. He’s an excellent passer and has shown an advanced ability to read a defense and manipulate defenders. While it may take a bit for him to get comfortable doing it consistently in the halfcourt against NBA defenders, he has all the tools.
