3. MLB realignment chaos: St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals in the same division.

Seeing the Kansas City Royals and the St. Louis Cardinals in the same division may not be such a big deal to casual fans of the game, but it would certainly mean a lot to those two fanbases who are so passionate about the game of baseball.

While everyone knows about the storied history of the Cardinals, few remember the glory days of the Royals. Though the two franchises operate much differently, the roots of baseball grow deep in the state of Missouri.

Though the Cardinals have made four straight trips to the postseason and have 11 World Series titles, it’s the Royals who last won the World Series back in 2015. Don’t think that Kansas City fans aren’t fully aware of that either.

Prior to the Royals’ latest reboot, the team had been part of back-to-back World Series trips (2014-2015). Kansas City now finds itself looking to rebuild the team around the likes of Brady Singer and Bobby Witt Jr.

The Cardinals and Royals may be two teams at opposite ends of the spectrum at the moment, but if KC is able to put the pieces together and assemble a contender, by the time MLB realignment becomes real, chaos could ensue in the Show Me State.
