Dallas Cowboys’ offseason move – Sign WR Odell Beckham Jr.

This move nearly happened during the 2022 season but Beckham opted to sit out and continue rehabbing his torn ACL. The injury, suffered in Super Bowl LVI, should be sufficiently healed in time for Beckham to make a big impact during the 2023 season.

Few offenses are screaming for an explosive weapon more than the Cowboys, who got little production outside of the running game and CeeDee Lamb this year. The loss of Amari Cooper, who was traded to Cleveland to alleviate salary cap concerns, was really felt as Michael Gallup never got back into form after returning from his own knee injury this season.

The addition of Beckham would give Dallas another legitimate playmaker, making it harder for defenses to double-team Lamb. Signing Beckham would also be a major help to Dak Prescott, who is an effective starter with quality weapons but isn’t an elite player who can elevate everyone around him to star-level production.

This splashy move would also keep Beckham away from the New York Giants, who were also interested in a reunion during the season. The market for receivers is pretty thin to begin with so getting Beckham should be a top priority for Jerry Jones in the offseason.
