2. Patrick Beverley

The first of two recently traded Lakers on our list, Patrick Beverley’s short stint with the Los Angeles Lakers came to an end after he was traded to the Orlando Magic (for Mo Bamba) On Thursday. With the Magic rebuilding with plenty of young guard talent at their disposal and Beverley on an expiring contract, there is a good chance that he is bought out.

Regarded as a 3-and-D player by many, Beverley struggled from 3 to start the season, shooting just 22 percent from deep in his first 18 games. However, since then, Beverley drastically improved his numbers, shooting 42 percent from 3 after Dec. 9. Beverley also remains an effective guard defender and should have no problem finding suitors in a buyout.

His impact not only as an effective player but also as an effective leader saw him highly praised for his stint with the Timberwolves in the 2021-22 season and Beverley has been linked to the franchise after his trade to the Magic.
