4. Likeliest Super Bowl MVPs – Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown

The final piece to unlock the Eagles’ offense was Brown, who was acquired in a draft-day trade from the Tennessee Titans for a pair of picks. The move was a shrewd one for Philadelphia, which bet on Brown being more explosive away from the run-first Titans’ offense, and has paid off in spades.

Brown delivered a tremendous regular season stat line, racking up 88 catches for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns, but has been a bit quiet in the postseason with just seven receptions for 50 yards. It certainly feels like Brown is overdue for a big game and if he delivers a Kupp-like performance in the Super Bowl he could become the second straight receiver to take home the MVP.

3. Likeliest Super Bowl MVPs – Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

We mentioned earlier that there has never been a tight end to win Super Bowl MVP but that streak could finally be broken if Kelce is the star of a Chiefs win. Kelce has become the top target for Mahomes all season long and has been a monster in the playoffs, catching 21 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns in Kansas City’s two playoff wins this year.

Expect Mahomes to try and force feed Kelce the football, which could lead to some nice counting stats that could help him win an MVP like Julian Edelman did in the low-scoring Super Bowl LIII. Edelman racked up 10 receptions for 141 yards in a 10-3 Patriots’ victory and a similar game flow would help Kelce etch his name in history as the first tight end to win Super Bowl MVP.
