Pick Analysis. NFC. South. Carolina Panthers. 2. player. Scouting Report. 87

The Carolina Panthers and Frank Reich may be addicted to retread quarterbacks

Fourth time’s a charm, right? Well, that is what it would be if the Carolina Panthers got into the Carr business. He might be a used Carr, but he’s not a lemon. This Carr can still run, but if you’re thinking about going left a bunch at 180 miles an hour, you might want to pick up something with a hemi coming out of school. Of course, Carolina and Frank Reich are synonymous with retreads.

The Panthers have the No. 9 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. As many as four quarterbacks could go in the first round. Bryce Young is probably not coming to Charlotte because Reich does not like quarterbacks six feet or under. He’d have to be six feet under to hitch his wagon to potentially the best thing to ever happen to the Queen City under six feet since Muggsy Bogues.

In truth, Carr could be exactly what Reich is looking for in a quarterback. Is he over six feet tall? Yes. Has he played in the league before? Yes. Would the Indianapolis Colts be interested in kicking the tires on him? Yes! The Panthers are best served trading up to get C.J. Stroud out of THE Ohio State University, but Carr is a better option over Will Levis and Anthony Richardson coming out.

If you’re down for some Shake N’ Bake, you’re gonna want to buy this Carr if you wanna go fast!
