Eagles offensive coordinator replacements:1. Greg Roman

The Ravens decided to part ways with offensive coordinator Greg Roman after the 2022 season, and Roman’s last campaign in Baltimore was stained with red zone inefficiency stats and a glaring inability to revamp the passing attack.

So why should Philly take a chance on him?

The clearest reason is that Roman has plenty of experience working with dual-threat quarterbacks like Jalen Hurts. Roman helped coach Lamar Jackson to a 2019 MVP season, engineering an effective run-heavy offense that maximized Jackson’s strengths.

Under Roman, the Ravens broke numerous franchise and league records for rushing yards, and the Eagles could use someone like Roman to help Hurts take the next step in his career in 2023.

Some would argue Hurts already has, given his productive passing and rushing totals this past season along with his legendary Super Bowl performance.

This may in truth be more of a dream scenario for Roman than the Eagles franchise, but Roman’s effect on the Ravens’ run game in recent history is undeniable. He’s never had the chance to work with an elite wideout corps during his time in Baltimore and could finally take flight with players like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith under his wing.
