Bud Light literally ripped this guys 2020 Tweet off for Super Bowl ad

Bud Light might have some explaining to do.

On Aug. 1, 2020, a content creator, known for making his own custom videos, shared a video he made about being on hold for extended periods of time. He even made a custom soundtrack which was a remix of classic hold music. In the video, he starts dancing along to the music.

The video was seen over 500,000 times. And it looks like a Bud Light advertising employee saw it too because it’s almost the exact same plot as their 2023 Super Bowl ad.

In the Bud Light commercial, it’s Miles Teller dancing to the exact same music from Lenarr Young’s video.

Bud Light stole a commercial idea from an influencer

Compare the two videos here.

The crazy/sad thing is that he never copywrote or licensed the song or the idea so he’s out of luck when it comes to getting any credit for this work, according to Upprox.

Lennar Tweeted about the moment, “BUD LIGHT ???? SUPER BOWL ??? COMMERCIAL????” and his fans chimed in to support him too.

“Get a lawyer and sue. That company won’t wanna spend the money on a case they will settle immediately. Get your bag my guy,” someone tweeted.

Someone else said, “They really took the whole flow bar for bar …and during Black History month.”

No matter what ends up coming from this fiasco we all learned a valuable lesson … nothing is original anymore.
