Denver Harris leaves Texas A&M behind to join Brian Kelly’s Family over at LSU

Brian Kelly knows what he wants, and he wants the great players Jimbo Fisher recruited. As if the budding rivalry between LSU and Texas A&M needed any more spice, former Aggies cornerback Denver Harris is joining Kelly’s Family over in Baton Rouge. This may not be as big of a get as getting Harold Perkins to flip, but do not sleep in the Bayou Bengals this upcoming college season.

The Houston native grew up not all that far from College Station. Had he been from New Orleans, Harris would have probably been a Tiger because LSU is undeniably DBU. If Harris can come in and make a splash in the secondary, you would have to put LSU on the shortlist of teams who can win the national championship not named Georgia. Kelly made a smart decision to leave Notre Dame.

A better defensive and more offensive continuity could have LSU humming again in no time at all.

Dorian Singer comes over from Arizona to replace Jordan Addison at receiver

To say that USC has arrived under Lincoln Riley would be putting it lightly. Although he needs to somehow find a way to establish a tough culture defensively, his Trojans offenses should be able to put up points for as long as he remains in Los Angeles. With Caleb Williams coming back for his junior season, he will need a target to replace Jordan Addison. What about Dorian Singer this year?

Signer spent the last two years playing for Jedd Fisch at Arizona. Although the Wildcats seem to be heading in the right direction under his guidance, the opportunity to catch passes for the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in what will be USC’s final season in the Pac-12 is too good to pass up. Look for Singer to play a huge part in the Trojans contending for the playoff this season.

There are few places to improve one’s potential draft stock than play receiver in a Riley offense.
