2. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags were one of the best stories of the 2022 NFL season. Trevor Lawrence showed tremendous growth. Travis Etienne, Christian Kirk, and Evan Engram joined Lawrence to make the Jags offense productive and exciting. They might also get suspended wide receiver Calvin Ridley back if his reinstatement request is approved by the league. But in order to take the next step in the postseason the defense has to improve.

Josh Allen led the team with seven sacks. Behind him were Dawuane Smoot with five sacks and Arden Key with 4.5. Both Smoot and Key are free agents and the Jags need more from their pass rush.

Jordan is the type of veteran that teams on the rise acquire to boost the defense and he seems like he would be a perfect fit for the Jags. The Jags do have salary cap issues, but if they don’t find a way to better rush the passer — especially going up against studs like Mahomes and Herbert come playoff time — then they will likely find themselves right where they were at the end of this season. They will make the playoffs but won’t take that next step.
