Corbin Burnes trade destination: Baltimore Orioles

Baltimore enters the 2023 season with the third-ranked farm system in all of baseball, as well as a rotation that could certainly use an upgrade. For a team that has hopes of contending for a postseason spot in 2023, adding Burnes to the mix would be a huge boost in that quest. It would also be a shot in the arm for a fanbase that was buoyed by last season’s 83-79 finish.

Burnes would not immediately become the Baltimore ace, but also change the conversation about who is the best pitcher in the entire division. While Burnes would not be the complete answer for what is needed by the Orioles to break through the division stranglehold that the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays are expected to have on the AL East this season, it could certainly be a step in the right direction at Camden Yards.

Sending Burnes to the American League would be a better option than finding a spot for him on an NL team like the Dodgers. Could another AL team be a fit as well?
