The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs put on a show in Super Bowl LVII, and while they may have lost the game, the Birds look like they are here to stay. The 2023 NFL Draft will be a good one for them, as they hold two first-round picks, and they can bolster the secondary with both of them here.

After adding a cornerback in Devon Witherspoon early in round one, they get a safety here, selecting Texas A&M star Antonio Johnson. Philadelphia could lose both James Bradberry and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in free agency this offseason, so by selecting Johnson here, they get rookies to fill both roles.

Patrick Mahomes has brought his Kansas City Chiefs back to the top of the mountain, winning his second Super Bowl in three tries. Mahomes has been the best quarterback in the NFL since taking over starting duties from Alex Smith, and it even with a revamped roster in 2022, he was still able to get the job done.

Now the attention turns to him winning his third ring, though a lot of work will go into the roster before he gets there. Closing out the first round, Kansas City adds to their defense, selecting a versatile linebacker in BJ Ojulari, who can play off the edge as well.
