2023 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock after Super Bowl LVII
By Brad Weiss
The nightmare the Carolina Panthers have been going through at the quarterback position will hopefully end this offseason, as guys like Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield were not the answer last season. With Frank Reich coming into assume head coaching duties, he is going to want to find a long-term answer at the position and could get it by selecting Will Levis.
Based on his physical gifts, Levis could have the highest ceiling of all the quarterback prospects in this draft class, so Carolina would be striking gold at pick No. 9 overall. Reich has done an outstanding job with quarterbacks during his coaching career, so this would be a perfect landing spot for Levis.
The Philadelphia Eagles proved themselves to be the best in the NFC this past season, making it all the way to Super Bowl LVII. Unfortunately for them, the Kansas City Chiefs won the game by three, aided by a holding call on James Bradberry late in the fourth quarter that gave Kansas City a chipshot field goal to win it.
Staying with Bradberry, he is one of a few key defensive backs that will hit free agency for the Eagles this offseason, making cornerback a priority. Devon Witherspoon is one of the top 3 cornerbacks in this draft class, and with a good combine, could end up being selected in the first ten picks.
