2023 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock after Super Bowl LVII
By Brad Weiss
The quarterback spot in Tennessee should change hands in the upcoming season, as the likelihood is the team will move on from Ryan Tannehill. That means that second-year quarterback Malik Willis will assume starting duties from Week 1 on, and building around him will be paramount to his development.
At pick No. 11 overall, Tennessee should look to add talent along the offensive line, and that means Paris Johnson Jr. from Ohio State. Johnson is widely considered the best overall offensive lineman in this draft class, and in Tennessee, he would slide in at left tackle if the team parts ways with Taylor Lewan.
After selecting Bryce Young with the No. 2 overall pick, the Houston Texans are back on the clock at No. 12, this thanks to the Deshaun Watson trade. After adding their franchise quarterback, Houston dips right back into the fray and gets him a weapon, selecting TCU star wide receiver, Quentin Johnston.
Johnston has everything you look for in a prototypical WR1 at the next level, possessing incredible size, speed, and catching ability. Houston needs help on the outside, and Johnston could be the wideout in this draft class with the highest ceiling of them all.
