The NBA is an offensive-first league, but sometimes you have to bet on an UNDER.

It’s not a fun bet, and many of them produce some crazy sweats, but they can be profitable if you’re choosing the right games and right teams.

Some teams play a style of basketball (strong defense, slow pace) that works perfectly for betting the under on the total.

Here are the three best with the NBA at the All-Star break:

Best NBA teams to bet the UNDER on

Chicago Bulls

  • UNDER Record: 34-25

The Bulls’ season long metrics work out perfectly for an UNDER team.

Chicago ranks seventh in the league in defensive rating, 24th in offensive rating and takes the fewest number of 3-pointers per game in the NBA.

Even though the Bulls have two elite scorers in DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, they have the best UNDER record in the league.

Los Angeles Clippers

  • UNDER Record: 34-27

The Los Angeles Clippers are playing much better on offense as of late, but they opened up the season with one of the worst offensive ratings in the league. Over their last 10 games, Los Angeles ranks 17th in offensive rating, moving it to 21st on the season.

That, coupled with the team posting the No. 10 defensive rating in the league, has made the Clippers an elite UNDER team.

Memphis Grizzlies

  • UNDER Record: 30-25-2

This is a bit of a surprise, since Ja Morant and company play a highlight-reel style of basketball, ranking sixth in the league in pace.

However, they are just 15th in the NBA in offensive rating and third in defensive rating, leading more of their games to go UNDER.

Memphis has been a little more profitable on UNDERs on the road, going 16-12 in those games.
