Bellator 291: Yaroslav Amosov vs. Logan Storley live results [UPDATED]

For the first time in approximately a year-and-a-half, Yaroslav Amosov is returning to the Bellator MMA cage, as he will look to defend and unify the Bellator welterweight championship against interim champion Logan Storley.

That serves as the main event of today’s Bellator 291 card, which takes place at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

It will also serve as a rematch between the pair, with Amosov winning their first bout via split decision at Bellator 252 in November 2020. This is Storley’s sole loss in his MMA career.

When Russia began its invasion of Ukraine exactly one year ago, Amosov was one of several combat sports athletes — alongside Oleksandr Usyk, Vasyl Lomachenko and the retired Klitschko brothers — who took up arms to defend Ukraine. In fact, when Ukrainian forces recaptured Irpin, where Amosov is from, a video surfaced of him rescuing his Bellator championship belt from his mother’s home.

Amosov became Bellator welterweight champion with a win over Douglas Lima at Bellator 260 in June 2021. Amosov had been scheduled to defend the title against Michael “Venom” Page at Bellator 281, but his participation in the Russian-Ukrainian war forced him out of the bout.

Storley, who enters this fight 9-1 in the promotion, then filled in against Page in an interim title fight. Storley defeated Page via split decision to win the interim title.
