1. Odell Beckham, Jr.

Smith-Schuster represents the same option at wide receiver for the Cowboys in free agency. If Dallas prefers to swing for the fences then Beckham Jr. will be at the top of their shopping list.

The former All-Pro sat out the entire 2022 season in an effort to recover from the injury he suffered as a Ram in the previous year’s playoffs. The upside to that is that Beckham Jr. should enter the 2023 campaign fully healthy and well-rested.

He probably will never return to the dominant form he showcased with the Giants, but his presence opposite Lamb would provide Dallas’ offense with much-needed balance. They don’t need him to be a superstar. Performing like an above-average No. 2 wideout would be more than enough to give Dallas’ offense a much-needed boost.

Beckham Jr. will almost certainly restrict his interest to small-market teams this offseason. That means Dallas is one of the only franchises with a legitimate shot to acquire his signature. The Cowboys should safeguard their contract with playing-time provisions to protect themselves against another significant injury. If Beckham Jr. is willing to accept that kind of contract the Cowboys have a strong chance of signing him.
