1. Bijan Robinson, Texas

The New York Giants selected Saquon Barkley with the second overall pick in the 2018 draft, and there has not been a top-10 pick used on a running back since. Fast forward to April 2023 and that is subject to change.

Bijan Robinson is the next great Longhorn running back. That is elite company, with the likes of Earl Campbell, Ricky Williams, and Jamaal Charles in the mix, but there is no reason to believe otherwise. A former five-star recruit and Arizona Gatorade Football Player of the Year,  Robinson’s greatness dates back long before his college debut. He holds the Arizona high school state record for total rushing yards (7,036) and touchdowns (114). He scored 38 TDs and ran for 2,235 yards on just 126 carries his senior year. Truly bonkers stuff.

In three seasons in Austin, Robinson accrued over 4,200 all-purpose yards and 41 total touchdowns. Over 1,000 of his 1,575 rushing yards in 2022 came after contact, and outside of six career fumbles, there is nothing bad to say about him at all. He is the most complete prospect of all positions in this year’s draft and could easily be off the board by the 10th pick.
