There are 11 NHL games to watch and bet on tonight, so why not sprinkle on some player props?

If you want my best moneyline bets for tonight, you can check those out here.

But now, let’s focus on player props. I have two that I love for tonight’s action. Let’s dive into them.

NHL player props today

  • Jesperi Kotkaniemi OVER 0.5 points
  • Ilya Sorokin OVER 30.5 saves

Jesperi Kotkaniemi OVER 0.5 points

The Hurricanes are licking their lips ahead of tonight’s matchup with the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Flyers are starting their third string goaltender tonight, Felix Sandstrom, who sports an ugly 3.52 goals against average and .880 save percentage. Now, he has to face a Hurricanes team that’s averaging 3.97 goals per 60 minutes over their last 10.

Is anyone on the Hurricanes second line scores a goal, there’s a very good chance that Jasperi Kotkaniemi, their second line center, will get a point off it.

He had a five point night on March 5 against the Lightning, and now we just need him to get one tonight to cash our bet.

Ilya Sorokin OVER 30.5 saves

The Pittsburgh Penguins have averaged 37.02 shots on goal over their last 10 games, the second most in the NHL over that stretch.

So, as a result, we’re going to bet on the their opposing goaltender, Ilya Sorokin, to go over his save total tonight, which is set at 30.5. The Islanders have allowed an average of 30.2 shots on goal over their last 10, so now that they’re on the road against an offensive team like Pittsburgh, I think Sorokin will soar over this number.
