Prediction: Seattle Mariners advance to the postseason – and win a playoff series.

The Seattle Mariners are perhaps the American League’s most intriguing team.

Their young talent, headlined Julio Rodriguez, is one of baseball’s best. They’ve only improved this offseason, adding All-Star outfielder Teoscar Hernandez, and are primed to take another step after a postseason berth last season.

Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto is as aggressive as any GM. If the Mariners are in contention at the trade deadline, and there is a good chance that happens, he could aggressively look to upgrade his team. Just look at the Luis Castillo blockbuster trade at last season’s deadline.

But the Mariners are primed to take another step forward this season — and a playoff berth, and postseason series victory, seem very possible.
