No. 1 Bears draft option: Paris Johnson Jr, OT, Ohio State

The offensive line for the Chicago Bears is a mess. Make no mistake about it. The Chicago Bears have a horrid offensive line. They need new bodies in the trenches. Practically, every player that currently is a starter can be replaced, even Teven Jenkins.

As such, Chicago can stay at 9 and take Ohio State’s Paris Johnson Jr to be the blindside protector for Justin Fields.

No question this move would be an “A” pick. If you are going to build around Fields, you need to build a top-notch wall around him. That would be the smart thing to do.

In this case, getting Johnson, a Buckeye native like Fields, would put Chicago in prime position to revamp a unit that badly needs reinforcements.
