player. 55. . Defensive Tackle. Pittsburgh Steelers. Bryan Bresee. 17

The Pittsburgh Steelers hold the No. 17 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and they are going to have a lot of work to do along the defensive line this offseason. That is why Bryan Bresee from Clemson makes a lot of sense for them, as he could fill the void left by Chris Wormley in free agency.

Bresee is one of the better defensive linemen in this draft class and is coming off a tremendous career at Clemson. He showed at the NFL Scouting Combine that he is healthy enough to be ready to produce as a rookie next season, and based on his skill set and passion, he would fit right in with the Steelers franchise.

Detroit Lions. Michael Mayer. 18. player. 50. . Tight End

The Detroit Lions hold two first-round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, one from the Los Angeles Rams, and the other at No. 18, their own selection. After going defense early in round one, picking cornerback Christian Gonzalez at No. 6 overall, Detroit turns their attention to the offensive side of the ball here in the middle of the first.

When it comes to the tight end position, Notre Dame’s Michael Mayer is the cream of the crop, and he put on quite a display at the NFL Scouting Combine. He is someone who should dominate as a rookie, and in Detroit, he becomes a security blanket for Jared Goff on a team that traded away TJ Hockenson last season.
