5 players Packers should pick in the first round of the NFL Draft

1. Zay Flowers

Not many 5-foot-9 wideouts manage to function as No. 1 receivers at the NFL level, but Flowers has a real chance to be one of those exceptions. His quickness and fluid route-running skills make him a matchup nightmare for opposing defensive backs.

Flowers will likely start his NFL career in the slot, but he has a chance to win on the outside as well. He put up massive stats last season for a Boston College season that struggled on the whole. Flowers gives off serious Justin Jefferson vibes as a collegiate prospect.

The only thing that might put the Packers off Flowers as a prospect is that he isn’t going to develop into a good blocker on the outside. He doesn’t have the size to be a real factor in the run game. That’s a weakness that Green Bay should be willing to overlook given Flowers’ exceptional skills when operating down the field.

Packers fans should keep a close eye on Flowers’ draft stock as the event approaches. He’s going to continue to rise up mock drafts as the pre-draft process steams along. The Packers would be fortunate to secure him with the No. 15 pick.
