NFL Rumors: JuJu Smith-Schuster was drawn to Patriots because of Bill Belichick

Tik Tok boy JuJu Smith-Schuster has gone from playing under Steelers’ Mike Tomlin to Kansas City Chiefs’ Andy Reid to New England Patriots’ Bill Belichick. What a ride.

The former Chiefs wideout and Super Bowl champ recently explained his reasoning for joining the Pats this offseason and said Belichick was the biggest factor.

Smith-Schuster said:

"“And I felt that like that was the [biggest] thing, feeling wanted in a place where I’ve played against a head coach I have a lot of respect for.”"

Even though Smith-Schuster will soon have been coached by three future Hall-of-Famer minds, he can’t say the same for the quarterbacks he worked with.

He’s going from Patrick Mahomes to a massive downgrade in Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe, not to mention he’ll face three stalwart defenses in the increasingly competitive AFC East.

As long as he’s happy, we guess.

Orlando Brown’s comments on Joe Burrow may have angered Chiefs fans this past week, but Smith’s reason for joining New England makes a ton of sense. He fills a dire position of need and stands to become the team’s No. 1 wideout, got the money he wanted, and can thrive under the tutelage of the legendary Bill Belichick.

If anyone can stamp the Tik Tok craze out of JuJu, it’s his new head coach.
