2. Frank Kaminsky

Kaminsky came to the Rockets from Atlanta as part of a minor deadline deal — arriving with Justin Holiday and a pair of second-round picks for Bruno Fernando and Garrison Matthews. Kaminsky hasn’t been playing much with the Hawks but he’s seen even less playing time in Houston — just 36 total minutes across seven games.

Kaminsky might have value to someone as an end-of-the-rotation big who combines size and shooting. But the Rockets clearly don’t need him and he hasn’t made much of an impact in his limited opportunities — shooting just 2-of-11 from the field and 1-of-7 from beyond the arc in Houston.

Turning 30 just before the season ends and with an expiring contract, it seems extremely unlikely Kaminsky will be back. There are other teams that might be able to offer him a larger opportunity and the Rockets have too many other young bigs who need developmental minutes.
