NWSL Season Preview 2023: 1 major question for each team
By Oliver Hunt
Bonus Question: Where in the world is Tobin Heath?
A valid question and one that everyone would like an answer for. It’s unclear where the free agent will land this season if she happens to land at all. She has yet to appear on anyone’s preseason roster as of the March 6 updates, and fans are beginning to worry about her return to the pitch. Heath was placed on the season-ending injury list at the end of the 2022 season when she was with OL Reign. She underwent knee surgery at the end of the season and was expected to be back for 2023 but she has yet to sign anywhere. If she does sign somewhere before the season begins, it’ll be tremendous for whichever club manages to pen her contract.
It’s hard to count anyone out this year with the exceptional amount of talent on the pitch, and this season will be entertaining to watch regardless of who you’re cheering for. The NWSL season kicks off on March 25.
