If Rodgers wanted to stay with the Packers, it likely would have helped their chances of landing top free-agent receiver Jakobi Meyers. Yet, the Packers’ messy situation with the future Hall of Famer led them to never being major players in the Meyers sweepstakes, and the 26-year-old ended up signing with the Las Vegas Raiders instead.

Meyers would have truly been the perfect addition for the Packers as they aim to become a playoff team again. However, without Rodgers, the Packers just did not stand out as an alluring landing spot for him, and it’s simply unfortunate. In 14 games this past season with the Patriots, the four-year veteran had six touchdowns, 67 receptions, and 804 receiving yards.
