2023 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock after early free agency waves

player. 55. . OT. Pittsburgh Steelers. Darnell Wright. 32

With their first-round pick, Mike Tomlin and his staff went with defense, as they selected a talented cornerback from Illinois in Devon Witherspoon. To kick off the second round, they bring in a big offensive lineman who could be the left tackle for young quarterback Kenny Pickett for years to come.

Darnell Wright is a player that some experts have mocked in the first round, but here, he lands in Pittsburgh with the No. 32 overall pick. In any other draft, No. 32 would be a first-round selection, so the Steelers are getting great value on Day 1 by adding Wright to the offensive line.

10. . DT. Houston Texans. Gervon Dexter. 33. player

The Houston Texans hold three of the first 33 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, and after getting a franchise quarterback, and the best defensive back in the draft class on Day 1, they bolster the defensive line here. New head coach DeMeco Ryans is going to make sure his defense is loaded in Year 1, and Gervon Dexter from Florida is an outstanding defensive tackle talent.

Dexter is a player who has been rocketing up draft boards due to his incredible size and the effort he put forth at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine. The Texans will be revamping this roster on both sides of the ball this offseason, so getting Bryce Young, Christian Gonzalez, and Gervon Dexter to kick off their 2023 NFL Draft would bring instant production.
