2023 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock after early free agency waves

50. . TE. Detroit Lions. Luke Musgrave. 48. player

The Detroit Lions add another talented player to their roster here at No. 48 overall, selecting one of the prized tight ends in this draft class. The 2023 NFL Draft class is not short on elite prospects at the position, but Oregon State’s Luke Musgrave is one who produced at a higher level than most in college.

With this pick, Detroit has now already been selected three times in the first 48 selections, and they will have a fourth pick down at No. 55 as well. Overall, Detroit has the roster, and draft capital to set themselves up for long-term success, and hopefully, they can get the early rounds this April right.

Pittsburgh Steelers. Nolan Smith. 49. player. 55. . LB

The Pittsburgh Steelers will pick twice in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and they attack both sides of the ball with the selections. Earlier, to kick off Round 2, they went offensive tackle, adding Tennessee’s Darnell Wright, and here, they go back to the SEC for a punishing defensive player.

Nolan Smith has long been considered an early-round draft pick, and he will make fans early on in the Steel City. In fact, by bringing in both he and Devon Witherspoon, the Steelers get two of the harder-hitting players in this class, just the kind of players Mike Tomlin loves on his defense.
