My picks: Giancarlo Stanton and Jameson Taillon

I felt very good about both of these picks late in the draft, as both have the chance to be sleeper giants for me in my lineup. Stanton has to rebound from his down slash line of 2022, right? I love the home run and RBI play here, but certainly don’t want him to be an albatross on the batting average.

Sale going with the last pick of Round 17 is head-shaking and also a sign of the times. Going this late, the pick is worth the flyer for sure, but it certainly shows how everyone feels about the Red Sox ace and his durability heading into the campaign.
