NFL rumors: Another Ezekiel Elliott suitor isn’t interested after all

No doubt about it, people want to hear what Robert Saleh has to say these days. He exudes tremendous confidence as the New York Jets head coach. His presence and thoughtful demeanor in his ability to answer questions play in part in why people want to see Gang Green succeed under his watch. When asked if the Jets have interest in Ezekiel Elliott, Saleh indicated that they do not.

Elliott was released by the Dallas Cowboys a few weeks ago. They are the only team that he has played for. While there have been other teams he has been tied to, the one that seems to make the most sense, at least on paper, has to be the Cincinnati Bengals. Elliott is a former Ohio State legend and he is well aware of how big of a deal is it for a Buckeye to play professionally in Ohio.

Again, it takes two people to make a deal. For now, Elliott remains a free agent, but it does not seem like teams such as the Philadelphia Eagles and Jets are all that interested in adding him. Frankly, Elliott may have to wait until right before training camp starts before he finds a new place to play. He can still be a productive back in this league, but his days of being a bell-cow are so over.

We are getting to the point where Elliott is more likely to be signed after the draft than before it.
