2. Donovan McNabb

The end for Donovan McNabb was just awful to watch. The Philadelphia Eagles great was cast aside by his former team and traded directly to a division rival in Washington. That should have been a huge red flag.

After a year in Washington, the Vikings traded McNabb to the Vikings for two sixth-round picks. What a fall for McNabb. He went from one of the best players at his position, constantly going to the NFC Championship Game, to getting traded for two very bad draft picks.

McNabb didn’t do much in Minnesota. He started six games, but he only won one game and he was benched for Christian Ponder. McNabb ended up asking for his release, and it was granted on December 1st. There were a couple of teams that lost starting quarterbacks in the middle of a playoff run. McNabb thought he could jump on one of them.

It didn’t work out. McNabb never got signed, and he went into the offseason with no interest. He returned a year later officially.  McNabb just never seemed to play the way he used to. He was just way too careful this late in his career, and it led to a large drop-off in statistics. We do our best to forget this kinship ever happened.
