2. Willis McGahee

Willis McGahee has an incredible career that started with the Miami Hurricanes, where he had one of the best college statistical seasons of the 21st century. He hurt his knee, and it could have derailed his NFL career, but he ended up being incredibly successful.

The Buffalo Bills drafted McGahee, and he missed the entirety of his first season. He went on to rush for more than 1,000 yards in his first actual season in the NFL. He went on to rush for 1,000 yards with three different franchises. Only Ricky Watters was able to do that before McGahee. He rushed for 1,000 yards with the Bills, Ravens and Broncos. One franchise he didn’t break 1,000 yards with is the Cleveland Browns.

We all remember the trade that sent Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts for a first-round pick. Many celebrate that trade, but the replacement was an incoming McGahee. He was terrible. McGahee rushed for 377 yards and two touchdowns. He only averaged 2.7 yards per attempt, the worst of his career.

What makes this all worse is McGahee was the Browns’ leading rusher. The only thing that went right for the Browns this season was Josh Gordon, and it forced them to give him a chance after chance. Even the positives had negatives in 2013.
