1. Kendrick Nunn

Kendrick Nunn’s career in the NBA has been interesting to say the least. After going undrafted in 2019, Nunn was picked up by the Miami Heat. He went on to be one of the best rookies of his draft class, receiving All-Rookie First Team honors. He even finished second in the 2020 Rookie of the Year voting.

Nunn continued that pace in his second season, averaging 14.6 points per game while converting on 48.5 percent of his field goal attempts and 38.1 percent of his 3s. It looked like Nunn was on his way to being one of the greatest undrafted players ever until injuries began to take a toll on him.

He missed the entire 2021 season due to a bone bruise in his knee, which led to the Heat rescinding his qualifying offer and allowed him to become an unrestricted free agent. The Lakers eventually signed Kendrick Nunn for the 2022 season, but he was never able to find his footing with the team.

He averaged 13.5 minutes per game in just 39 games before ultimately being shipped off to the Wizards in the trade which sent Rui Hachimura to the Lakers. Since being traded to the Wizards, Nunn is still only playing 13.7 minutes per game. The two point guards ahead of Nunn on the depth chart, Delon Wright and Monte Morris, are under contract until 2024.

Kendrick Nunn’s contract with the Wizards expires after this season. All things considered, it would be startling if he were on the roster when next season rolls around.
