8. Best Ohio State alumni in NFL history: DE Nick Bosa (2019-present)

Only two players in Ohio State history have won NFL Defensive Player of the Year: Nick Bosa and Randy Gradishar (more on him later).

Bosa has only been in the NFL for four years, but he is already building a Hall of Fame resume. After being selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the second overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Bosa made an immediate impact. He was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, while recording nine sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and an interception.

In the postseason, he helped the 49ers make a run to the Super Bowl. In three games, Bosa had four sacks and five quarterback hits. He even had a forced fumble in the Super Bowl. Over the past two seasons, Bosa is leading the league in both sacks (34.0) and tackles for loss (40.0). He should continue to be an elite player for years to come.
