Scouting Report. CB. Chicago Bears. player. Pick Analysis. Kindle Vildor. 2. 57

Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon will have a new member in their secondary in place of Kindle Vildor.

Kindle Vlidor has held up well during his time in Chicago, but so far, only the safety positions in Chicago appear to be set in stone with Jaquan Brisker and Eddie Jackson. Jaylon Johnson could also move on, but it’s more than likely the team keeps him around for the long haul. Additionally, this year’s draft is pretty wealthy, with cornerbacks that could find themselves as starters within one to two years. The Bears need that immediately.

Ryan Poles wants a faster team than when he took over. Vildor is fast. However, he has been beaten by receivers a few too many times. Moreover, in the NFC North, there is a wide receiver named Justin Jefferson. A solid secondary is required to limit him, and Chicago needs more help in that department.

With time running out on Justin Fields’ rookie contract, the Bears must put the best possible talent around him on both sides of the ball to make sure that he is indeed the franchise guy he was drafted to be when he first arrived in town. A better secondary that can take the ball away from the opposition and give Fields more chances is the right way to go. Vildor, unfortunately, is not part of those plans.
