NFL rumors: Seattle Seahawks are bringing in Jalen Carter for a top-30 visit

Jalen Carter is the most talented player in the draft, but also one of the most controversial. The former Georgia star should be either the first or second non-quarterback taken this spring, alongside Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. However, off-the-field issues and character concerns may see his draft stock slip a bit. Well, look at him visiting the Seattle Seahawks now…

Carter will have his top-30 visit with Seattle on Tuesday. The Seahawks have the No. 5 pick by way of the Russell Wilson trade with the Denver Broncos. Given that Pete Carroll is a defensive-minded head coach who has built a strong football culture tucked away in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle is a logical place for Carter to go. Frankly, this is around where he will be picked this spring.

Although he could go as high as No. 3 to the Arizona Cardinals, they may favor Anderson or could trade back. Keep an eye on the Detroit Lions picking at No. 6, the Chicago Bears picking at No. 9 and the Philadelphia Eagles picking at No. 10 to be the ones to stop his draft slide should the Seahawks decide to go in another direction. Good for Seattle gathering intel on the best prospect.

Those who pass on Carter when they have defensive line issues to address will pay the price for it.
