First-round mistakes the Seahawks cannot make: Not trading back if the scenario is right

Hypothetically, if both Will Anderson and Tyree Wilson are gone in the top four, Seattle should seriously consider trading back. This is very possible, too, alluding to Adam Schefter’s report about only two quarterbacks going in the top four picks, along with the fact that Jalen Carter’s stock could fall.

Look, the Seahawks do not have to draft a quarterback this year. Therefore, if two quarterbacks are on the board at No. 5, then Seattle should absolutely shop the pick as quickly as they can.

Pete Carroll and company already have another first-rounder back at pick No. 20. Just think of the possibilities, being able to move back a few picks from number five, all while snagging even more draft capital to build this roster into a real contender.

For example, if the Titans want a quarterback, as many rumors state they’re going to try and move up for, then Seattle could ask for their No. 11 pick along with possibly a second-rounder, and maybe a later pick. Tennessee’s second-rounder comes in at pick No. 41 overall. Even swapping firsts, along with getting the 41st pick, would be tremendous value.
