LeBron James took a “keep it moving” approach with his postgame comments on Dillon Brooks.

As much as NBA fans desperately want LeBron James to go full MJ, “…and I took that personally,” on Dillon Brooks, he’s going to take the high road. After all, James is an old man. He simply can’t engage in the petty back-and-forth that the young kids are all about these days. He has things to worry about like bingo nights and AARP deals.

After Brooks came at James in advance of Game 3 with comments jabbing at his age, James and the Lakers convincingly won Game 3. Brooks, notably, was ejected (flagrant 2) for hitting James in the midsection.

LeBron’s comments on the incident were mild at best.

James said he just kept it moving after making sure his… belongings… were good to go:

"“You know, just focus on the gamepan. A lot of time, a lot of game to be played when that incident happened, so just tried to get up, protect my crown jewels, and move onto the next play,” James said on the local broadcast postgame."

Asked about what type of statement he and the Lakers made in Game 3, he simply said that they got a needed win and hope to keep it moving:

"“I didn’t make a… Me? What type of statement I made? I’ve been doing this too long, I ain’t making no statements. We had an opportunity to come home and play well on our home floor and we did that. You know, so, no statement was made, you know we just wanted to play well and we got a win and we’re going to try to do that in Game 4 as well. I don’t need to make statements.”"

A very wise response from the oh-so-old LeBron James. For what it’s worth, Dillon Brooks sorta followed James’s lead with his postgame comments or lack thereof.
