Teams that should stop Will Levis slide: Los Angeles Rams

The most likely destination for Will Levis on Day 2 is also possibly the best destination. The Los Angeles Rams draft at 36th overall, before most of the other teams that would have a logical interest in taking Levis off the board. They also have a pretty sound case to reason for adding him.

The Rams fell mightily in 2022 after their 2021 Super Bowl, proving that buying your way into competition is an ephemeral strategy in the NFL. Now, they need to build back better, and they’re probably going to have to do that the old-fashioned way, through the draft. It might be a slow go of it given their relative lack of draft capital. Levis would be a nice add because they still have Matthew Stafford under contract for the 2026 season.

It’s not inconceivable that he could retire before that deal plays out, or be traded at some point. Stafford has played 14 seasons, won a Super Bowl, and been named to a Pro Bowl. Really, what’s left for him other than making some extra money and giving it the old college try at another title?

Stafford would be a great mentor for Levis like other quarterbacks on this list. He toiled and gave it his all in Detroit despite bad teams around him for years. His work ethic was admirable and put him in a position to get chased by a trade-ready team that wanted to build a title.
