MLB Rumors: Atlanta Braves get great injury news

The Atlanta Braves outfield puzzle is finally starting to come together thanks to great injury news on Michael Harris II. Were it not for Ronald Acuña, Harris II would get far more attention in the ATL. The star in the making slashed 297/.339/.514 last season, winning rookie of the year in the National League and playing an excellent center field.

Harris was placed on the 10-day injured list in the first week of April with a lower back strain. It’s that same injury which forced the Braves to go with an undermanned outfield. Still, they kept winning without the likes of Harris and more.

Atlanta also reinstated Eli White from the paternity list, and sent Nick Solak back to the minor leagues. Nowhere in that note did the Braves mention Marcell Ozuna, the much-maligned veteran outfielder who most fans would like Alex Anthopoulos to send packing. Ozuna’s time with the Braves is waning unless he makes a major turnaround. But for now, Atlanta will wait for Travis d’Arnaud to come off the injured list first.

Ozuna is slotted in as a primary designated hitter for now, despite his struggles.
